Jonathan Ripke is currently a fourth-year student at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. While growing up in Aurora, CO, he attended Lutheran schools, giving him the opportunity to act in a wide variety of Christmas pageants, spring plays, and other performances. During each of his years at Denver Lutheran High School, he was cast in a one-act play, culminating in a role as J.C. #4 in Malcolm Marmorstein’s “Will the Real Jesus Christ Please Stand Up?” as a senior. The current film is his first; as an avid student of history (his major at Concordia-Seward) and a seminary student he is pleased to portray Ludwig Fuerbringer, one of the original Concordia Seminary students. He was married to his wife Megan in 2009, and his parents and two sisters reside in Nebraska. When Jonathan is not studying, he enjoys running and walking with his wife. He looks forward to learning more about Walther, Fuerbringer, and their influence on the Missouri Synod through his participation in this film.
